Wake Up Call

Go ahead and take my wife Now go ahead and try for my life But you won’t kill me -- I will not die – Cut out part of my tongue Pull out all of my teeth Peel back my face and watch me bleed Dismember my shoulder As if it were a broken boulder I’ll say “you hit like a sissy” when it’s all over Indeed, I have seen how strong I have to be Everyone around is breaking down on me My friends and family, one by one...slowly And I’m the one with a cancerous disease -Boz-

You sound like a fighter or is it just poetry. Keep writing. Sara
