Waiting, Wanting, Why?

Through the dark I see your face.
I can see your breath in the light of the full moon.
Your rapid breathing tells me that you have been waiting in great anticipation.
As I find my way to you, you quietly speak to me.
Telling me how, where, and................
I softly put my hand to your lips.
Warning you be be quiet, for I was followed.
Who could it be, that would follow me?
Or maybe it was you that was followed, and now was the time to appear.
Was this our fate to be two lovers, caught in our own passions?
Things are never as they seem.
