Waiting To See

waiting to see

A small lump near my left ear

                                      What if it’s cancer?

                                            Will he stay?

What did you find out about this lump, dear? I have to tell you, it wasn't until this second time I read your poem that it dawned on me, "he" must be your husband. It is strange to me you would even have to ask that. I was thinking you were referring to the cancer itself as the "he" I am so dense sometimes. Congrats on your win!

INteresting to see what people write about for this contest. Did you really find a lump near your ear?

yes. the dermatologist thought it might be an irregular mole, but wasn't sure, so he sent it off to be biopsied.
