Waiting To Be Plucked

.

Down in the valley’s cold iced over pond
there lies one lone white lily
                 so waiting to be plucked

Such a beautiful scene before me... tiger lilies are my favorite, though I love the gentle white lily as well. The ice is a great contrast to the softness and purity of the lily, enhancing its presence and patience. I so love nature poems like this. Always, Laura

James, quickly, if you want to be properly judged, you have to do all the things she asks, like put the date and your name and the name of her contest AND tell which visual you were inspired by. (all that if you are in the contest, IF not, don't worry about it) I am glad you took my challenge and did one of her themes!! You did very well . (change "loan' to spell as "lone") and thanks for your suggestion about a line of MY poem.
