Waiting On God
There was a day when God blessed me.
But the ship got lost in a hazy sea.
And now like those who had to wait.
I have to hope it's not too late.
That you will find me once again.
But only God knows if and when.
I woke up two months ago.
Waiting for God to let me know.
The currents have changed over years.
I know now it's him who steers.
And love lives deep inside a dream.
And hope lives up on a moonbeam.
May the light shine in your heart.
Bring together what's now apart.
Open the door to tomorrow's world.
Where forgiveness and love is unfurled.
I pray for patience to wait for God.
But I am mere mortal, I could use a nod.
I live in hope and dream of you.
Until God says, I will be blue.
