Waiting On Forever

I live in an animal shelter
Always dreaming of something better
Waiting on forever

As I sit in my cage, I wonder why
Do the people always pass me by?
Waiting on forever

All I feel inside is sad
But I really want to feel glad
Waiting on forever

Dreaming of a home
With a backyard where I can roam
Waiting on forever

All day spent staring at the wall
When I just want someone to throw me a ball
Waiting on forever

Oh what a joy
To Have My Own Boy
Waiting on forever

Someday I hope someone will hear my plea
That all I really want is to be free
Waiting on forever
