Waiting For You

Waiting For You

If we came together, can we leave alone
Can your heart be broken on the telephone
We met a year ago, you were my friend
I had no idea how this was gonna end

I'm on the other side,
Waiting for you
I can't run away hide
While I'm waiting for you

Passion was soon replaced by the hand of fate
Loving looks turned to sour and sprinkled with hate
How did it come to this, once my love
Where did it all go wrong Heavens above

I'm on the other side,
Waiting for you
I can't run away hide
While I'm waiting for you

Now I sit here and I'm an older man
Reflecting on my past and all my plans
Darling you gave me hope and life
The very day I called you my wife

Now you're on the other side,
Waiting for me
I won't run away hide
While you're waiting for me
