Waiting
Can you see in my eyes,
the life I've lived?
You'll never believe what
I've done or where I've lived.
Have you taken the time to care,
or have you just stood and stared?
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting.
To tell you of the happy, and sad.
I'll tell what I know or "remember",
of wars, droughts, floods the such.
Of marriage, family, the childrens laughter.
Stories told to them,
that they want to remember.
Why can't you just ask?
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting.
I'd love to tell you a story that
will put meaning in your heart.
I wonder will you remember me
when I'm gone?
I am waiting, for that special day,
when, I wait no more.
No more tears,
no more sorrows,
only of joy and happiness.
Living with my Lord
for all tomorrows.
