WAITING

Waiting for rain, sleep, love, life and dew.
Waiting for solace to discover and capture you!
Stillness enwraps scents of Nature's entrant.
A katydid's rasp seeks a mate with his chant.
Teasing breezes tickle leaves in the wood.
Plops of rain on our heads feels ever so good.
Accepting this gift we embrace once again.
Baptized in evenings warm healing rain
our hands unite under day's fading light.
Chasing shadows, we enter the night.
