Waiting

Why did you make me love you
why did you try so hard
how did I let you get to me
I let down my guard
for years and years I fought you
you're persistent it is true
in the end it paid off
at least it did for you
I paralyzed your senses
did things she couldn't do
heard stories that you've
told no one
saved all my love for you
I believed every word
you said to me
starring in my eyes so blue
I guess that waiting on this woman
is something you won't do.
