Waiting

Last few days alone I am lying, Friends also stopped visiting. Mom, you are also not returning. With whom I will be talking? Long back Papa said, mom will come, my son When the rainbow will touch the horizon, Mom will walk down the stairs from heaven. Today, it rained, may be it would happen. You know, rainbow comes, when the rain goes away, Mom, are you coming today? Unable to get up from bed since yesterday. Lying in the bed whole day. Doctor thought I was sleeping Said to Papa cells are fast mutating I do not know whether it is bad, But whenever papa comes, he is always sad. At late night Papa came, kissed And then sat putting his hand on my head He thought I was sleeping I am so tired but I heard his sobbing You know Mom whenever Grandma comes Always I find tears in her eyes She says that is for infection Is it true, tears come from contagion? All day, I lay awake on my bed Do not feel to eat still with a spoon Grandma fed. Today clouds are moving very slow But I am looking for signs of rainbow. Papa said mom will come, my son When the rainbow will touch the horizon. Mom will walk down the stairs from heaven. Mom, does it take long time to come from heaven? Feeling very tired but for you I am waiting. Since morning unable to breath; from nose bloods are oozing. Around me dark clouds are surrounding I cannot speak now, only hearing. Mom, why blood comes out from mouth, it’s so salty. Looking through the window at the sky. May be the rainbow will come this morning Mom, for you I am waiting. Are you coming?
