Wait For Me
If you’d told me I’d miss him
Quite as much as I do
Would I ever have believed it
I think not now don’t you
It’s his voice that echoes in both heart and mind
Even though he was not always kind
He wanted to love me of that I’m sure
But it seems he’s gone through another’s open door.
The worst thing possible has happened to me
For I’m sure my best friend he see
Then run off with her instead of me
That’s why I am so, so lonely.
Why didn't he wait for me
Why didn't he make it be
The story as it should unfold
Now it never will be told.
PLEASE, PLEASE, WAIT FOR ME
