Waging Wars
I have lived the ways of darkness, I have done it’s part,
I spoke those words of destruction, that had filled my heart.
Anger, hurt, and pain, yes bitterness, was all there,
those things I had been given, freely I did share.
How it made me feel better, when I bit back you see,
as I lived out the darkness, that was inside of me.
I could feel the stings of anger, growing in my heart,
and from those thing’s, I gave others a part.
The hearts that I’ve destroyed, the destruction I left behind,
I was always justified, by the darkness in my mind.
I had no cares in this life, it was plain to see,
if there were true darkness, it, would have been me.
Now from these ways I’ve turned, I live in the light,
only with my own darkness, now I choose to fight.
To speak words of life, and begin to build you see,
cause from my darkened destructive past, God has set me free.
To live life anew, and to walk now in His Light,
from these ways of darkness, I stand now in God’s might.
Now waging wars of forgiveness, for love, for peace and life,
in His truths, and guidance, I will overcome this strife.
