I would pick your brain as Mrs. Carolyn thought to but as she said, it's best left to the imagination what the vulture's found. But it's a great way to elicit the sense of death that we identify with the season of fall. Bravo.

Nice mystery allowing us to guess what's beneath those leaves, Sara. I appreciate your subtle approach in not saying something crass like "last week's roadkill." I'd prefer to think the vultures saw some mice in the leaves. Thanks for leaving it up to our imaginations! Love, Carolyn
