Vulnerable

There is fear Hanging thick in the air The air that holds life a double edged sword Wearing masks afraid to take in Oh help us Lord Can we do this can we pull it off With our self absorbed ways we an kill with a cough Not just my neighborhood town or city but the World Where will this take us will it end as we are being hurled Into the unknown there is fear Reactions bring about hoarding all for one isn't it clear This is a lesson a test of sorts will we rise The outcome is anyone's guess without huge change it may be our demise Everything on earth respects rhythms except man Took only 200 years for us to threaten everything we can The air sea & land slowly painting ourselves into a corner And there lies the trap greed but will there be a mourner Will this lesson in vulnerability teach us compassion Or are we a race of people with disillusion Blessings

This is deep, I don't like how easily they project fear in most of us. A great write. Linda

Your poem is full of wisdom, and the resounding truth of our arrogance and shortcomings. Very nicely done!

I think it is rather foolhardy for Trump to consider opening doors for business as usual. People are becoming too complacent ... America, I was reading has now over 45,000 deaths recorded. I believe we will evolve through it, hopefully as a better more humane species. Stay safe. What we give out to others, comes back to us. This is a huge test. x
