Notes About The Poem

Volte Face By Grace

Forced solitude began with loneliness
Resulting in consciousness contraction
Shifting to vibrancy in aloneness

Looming spectre of death birthed fearfulness
Plunging our mind into agitation
Forced solitude began with loneliness

Survival instinct heightened awareness
Softened attention our meditation
Shifting to vibrancy in aloneness

Tranquil calm replaced erst rebelliousness
We sought solace in void of cessation
Forced solitude began with loneliness

Empathy awoke, spewing lovingness
Our heart now overflows with compassion
Shifting to vibrancy in aloneness

Recognising interconnectedness
Love, not fear, our hearts orientation
Forced solitude began with loneliness
Shifting to vibrancy in aloneness
