Like, I heard your voice one last time And all I wanted to do was cry a million times It saddened me to know the end was prime All those memories and dreams of us came to me like a tide Our love had spread to distances wide Our love had risen to heights might The love was smoother than wine The love loved in all even in crime This ailing soul had no healing ride This fading dream had no present aide The coming future felt like a differing side Unsure where this thing called love would slide Life sure comes in surprising slices
