Vocation

Way deep down in my heart I hear the Lord speaking to me.
He tells me who I am and who I'm really supposed to be.
Before His majesty I see myself so very small.
In honesty how can I try to heed His holy call?

A little voice is crying out from deep within my soul
And if I try to follow, God will finally make me whole.
I feel Him watching me; I am so tiny in His eye,
So patiently He waits to see just what I will decide.

I know it’s true that everyone is called to holiness
And to our Lord's command and call we must all acquiesce
But still, I feel a greater call that I cannot ignore.
It is as if my lonely heart is crying out for more.

So, tell me, Lord, what can I do and what more can I give?
What shall I do with this, the life You gave to me to live?
Where do You want me, Lord? Tell me how best to do Your will.
I offer everything to You, my heart, my hands, my skill.

Way deep down in my heart I hear the Lord speaking to me.
And He is showing all that I might someday come to be.
Before His majesty, I see myself so very small.
So, here I am, O Lord, my God! I'm answering Your call!
