Lilacs have such a lovely scent. It was one of my mother's favorites. I first got to pick some lilacs in Austria in the spring. Their scent is heavenly. Your poem is as enchanting as the flower Susan! : )

Connie, I share your mother's love of lilacs, I grew up with lilac trees in our backyard and my father would pick bunches for my mother in the spring. We had vases of beautiful purple lilacs throughout our house ~ yes, their heavenly scent brings back sweet memories for me..
