Visitors are on the Way

Visitors are on the way
The house is looking right
Yesterday we worked real hard
Preparing all we might
The porch is swept and looking good
The yard is trimmed and mowed
Everything is ready
Welcome to our small abode
The rooms are cleaned and dusted
No dishes in the sink
When they arrive we'll offer them
A choice of things to drink
We'll talk about what matters
To each and everyone
Maybe a little gossip
Will be thrown in just for fun
Company is nice for us
Be they family or friend
To reminisce about old times
Until the visit is at end
When they depart a hug for them
And a renewed and current link
Our visit here was very nice
I hope is what they'll think
