Visions of You

All you see is darkness
as you lay in your bed
from morning noon and night
even with eyes open wide

How unfair life seems to you
for taking away your sight
chaining you forever
to the corners of your bed

The once twinkling eyes
that lights up when you talk
have turned blank and lifeless
making your smile seem cold

But life is more than seeing
the day to day event
that unfolds before your eyes
as you wake up in the morning

your vision maybe lost
but your mind can still see
your heart is full of life
and that's what matters to me
