Visions

Do you see it in the looking glass?
A shadow hidden by
the glimmer of the light
that sparks the corner of your eye.

Can you hear the footsteps following
but turn and nothing's there?
Perhaps no one is tailing you,
or are they always there?

Perchance it's merely fancy.
These visions in your head.
Or there really is a monster
hiding underneath your bed.
