Visions

I would sing the song of greatness
but I did not write the words
I would learn to play the melody
but the notes have not been heard
I would teach the world the harmony
if I could the find the perfect note
and warm the hearts of all who sang
with the joy of a musical coat

If I could make a great big smile
for everyone to see
I'd give a piece to every heart
because that's where I should be
I'd rid the world of sadness and pain
for the children most of all
turn off the sounds of guns and wars
turn on a mothers caring call

I'd make each life more precious
create respect as the days of old
I'd remind them of the many stories
that our forefathers once told
The stories of how they all began
way back in the beginning of time
when all things had a greater value
and peace lived in there mind

But oh those days will never be
and yes this be a dream
of hope and wishes long since known
I'm the only one it seems
to see a world of perfect bliss
where we all must have decisions
a place where everyone can agree
somewhere that is my visions
