Virus

What is this contagion that’s spread? Replicating over and over again, Feeding on an area until it is dead, Then to another area it moves instead. A virus is what we call this thing, A corruption that insidiously grows, Something with which we fight and swing, To something which we are adamantly opposed It grows and spreads if left unchecked Destroy all that lies in it course Something from which we must protect Our children and loved ones with all our force As what, do you suppose we are seen? To Mother Nature upon this earth, Destroying all that is good and green And taking all that we find worth Killing each area with poison and dirt Then moving to the unsoiled vicinity And then we again start to pervert The green and wholesome nature’s virginity When will we ascend far enough? To rise above the human greed On pollution we need to be tough Of our planets cries we take heed.
