Virtuous Trait of Morality

I place a great deal of importance on morality and never will I perceive it as a mere triviality It is a fine quality I seek when choosing a friend A virtuous trait, one should never condescend Those relishing debauchery, I consider unsavory Surrendering their honor will surely lead to slavery A bondage that breaks the ethical code of respect Their sense of morality is in a state of gross neglect January 4th, 2021 Mark Koplin's Morality Contest

Jenna, I love what you say about respect and not condescending others. To me, morality boils down to how we treat others and respect their rights. You have stated this well with your exceptional poetic voice. Congrats for your deserving first place win. ~ John

Your say on morality is wise, Jenna. Morality is the slippery fish of life, few can hold on to it. Thanks you for stopping by to read my work. Best to you in all your endeavors. / Maurice

What makes this poem neat to me Jenna, is that it unequivocally communicates the precept that, only we can truly enslave ourselves...no one else is responsible for our own self imposed slavery...J.A.B.

Thanks, Justin. You're correct. We are the only one responsible for our shortcomings as well as for our decency.

Thanks, Jan. Those who have no decent morals are not worth the TP. Change is possible.
