Villanelle Me a Flower Or Flowers

Some true beauties without the blue
I picked from a small, fragrant garden;
yes, Nature gives very freely, I do too.

One pink orchard, one red dahlia to
give to anyone who is sadder than I;
some true beauties without the blue.

Something found by chance can ensue,
giving it away causes a feeling of joy;
yes, Nature gives very freely, I do too.

The flowers I hold are for pretty Sue,
even carelessness can damage them;
some true beauties without the blue.

Lovely flowers can make dream anew
of the lovely girl with the sweet voice;
some true beauties without the blue.

At the gate where the hyacinths grow,
I've met someone with eyes that glow;
some true beauties without the blue...
yes, Nature gives very freely, I do too.
