View From the Bottom
The view from the bottom
of the five Gallon bucket
Could not have been good.
It is a long way up when you weigh
Merely an ounce and stand, on your
Best day, stretched out like a giraffe,
Only two inches tall.
There was nothing in the bucket before you.
No water, no food, no spiders
to torment and devour. Nothing.
It was not your best day.
When you fell
From a ledge or a shelf and
Dropped your final 18 inches
Into The pale.
No one heard or even cared and if they
Knew probably would not have helped
an alleged pest.
When finally found you had succumbed.
Your suffering prolonged
judging by the profuse dry
Excrement and nothing else.
You are beautiful and cute and dead
2000 of you would
Make a very nice two toned coat.
I will keep the buckets upside down
Now. I am sorry about your demise
In the pail.
