Victory

Hid in a nest of my own
                                            Silent and dark, kept alone

                                            Remain here since the start
The other life, barely a part

Walls crack with glimpses of light
Eyes adjust, possible end in site

A world so vast stretches to the sea
Arms expand, finally I am free

I really enjoyed the read of this one, Erin. I imagined a stowaway waiting to get off a ship or someone hidden and watching the sea, waiting to explore it. Lovely.

The power of the sea. The power of being free, once you discover you've had the ability all along. Wonderful lines!
