Vrou
Sag en vol mag
Rustig,hard, vol krag
Stamp hom weg
Dit is nie reg
Skeurend,stukkend
Jou vrou wees weg;
Rou,grou die donker
Rukkend, bukkend
Jou vrou wees dronker
Leeg,geen krag
Hortend, hawend
Vrou, verkrag,
Leeg,geen krag.

Hi Carol, thank you so much for the welcome. Leo, thank you for the comment. I have read some poems, yes, and will do so more often, as time allows,with my busy schedule. Will be posting regularly, as I write daily, just have never thought of sharing them. I write with every event, moment in life. Love. Theresa

A powerful Afrikaans poem about a woman attacked/assaulted...interesting, but rather difficult to translate. Brevity, forceful statement, and rhymed sounds are effective.
