Verge

Almost on the outer of edge
Leaning forward from the ridge
Sound of silence booms me back
Bright the light of morning black

Within my grasp I stretch to reach
And kiss the dew of loving peach
Call her name as it echoes back
Push beyond the limit of fact

Falling forward into the brink
I jump up to begin to sink
Free from fear but fear from free
I close my eyes so my heart can see

Against the point of no return
I ignite my soul and slowly burn
Within my self I force my surge
Bordering on my mind's verge
