Venus and I

Assigned their primary task by their Creator God Almighty,
They light up the night, taking away the darkness and void.

So far removed, untold millions of miles away but seem so close.
So many billions of them, but there is one with my name on it.

Imagine that: a bright star way out there with my name on it.
That's because she speaks to the core of me as she gracefully

Appears in the eastern sky, side by side with the rising sun.
I do not know if the sun really needs her assist, but at no time

Do we see any sign of Venus being dismissed from the mornings.
I do not dislike the evenings, but I love the dawning of the mornings.

I am not a fan of 'getting out' to 'get going', but I love 'getting up'.
No newspaper with cleverly designed bad-news headlines and crimes;

And no television loaded with popular opinions and commentary;
Nor commercial-filled radio smothered with music and talk shows;

If God is a whisperer, then I will hear Him best in the early mornings.
"Be still and know that I am God" are words from the mouth of The Lord.
