Venomous Lies
The burning of the lies I told,
this barely beating heart I hold,
is running venom through my veins,
I'm barely able to stay alive,
only truth can let me thrive,
but in this venom shall I hide,
no longer able to abide,
by the truths I try so hard to hide.
Even though the venom flows,
the lies still ever grows,
unable to kill the pain,
I utter some truth,
but it's in vain,
and now I wait,
no longer able to debate,
on wether I should live or die.
But now the lies,
they hold me back,
with truths I can no longer speak,
that rip me from the inside out,
as the venom floods my veins,
when it's lies,
eating me away from the inside,
poisoning my heart and mind,
with venom of a different kind.
