Velvet Rose
From the earth
She reaches skyward
To touch a heart
Her sweetness
Leaves bitterness in retreat
As she sings
For her soul
Is made of love and joy
Wrapped in velvet
She dances
On the summer breeze
To nature’s tune
She is the flame
That never fades nor dies
Yet does not burn
For in the rose
All spirits dwell and smile
For this is love
