Veil Your Fears

He asked, intrigued
By my peculiar ever-present smile
How my eyes flicker
Pure bliss, perfect beguile
He stared, eyes unmoved
Walking within my shoes the mile
With words unsaid,
Venturing into my soul
All the tears I've bled,
I couldn't lie, even if I tried
I simply stated

"Veil your fears,
For, darkness will shine
If you show them your tears"
