VEIL OF HORIZON
A longing since medieval,
A plea for life's survival,
Boundless in its scope,
Safety, an elusive rope.
A concept drifting in hope,
Pragmatic yet in vogue,
A specter in the shadows,
Darkness in the meadows.
Volatile in its essence,
Thesaurus lost in grievance,
Meaning fading, now receding,
Yearning for new definitions.
