Vanity

Oh Vanity, you that trick men to exchange their souls for a fleeting moment of glory, I thee abhor!

The best pieces of advice seem so simple, yet for some strange cruel reason, they are the ones we continually mess up on! We don't think very far ahead, and can only comprehend the current moment ... perhaps this is why we keep falling.

There are a plethora of reasons that make as fail and the first one is that at the moment we do not know we act as though we know! You see, my friend, Timothy, the first step towards knowledge is to accept our ignorance then to try and learn from those who know! I am certain you are on the right path of knowledge! God bless you and I thank you!

I love the way you personify vanity...I despise this quality in humans as well. Nature just displays without boast...vanity can be a humans demise. Kudos for this strong one-liner, of truth! :), jill

Your words are always worthy of consideration, Demi. Vanity has been the downfall of many; I think that age has a lot to do with, too! ~ Regards // paul

Vanity should be left to the stranger in the mirror, I too have been tricked a time or two I shall admit...Nice theme and well said for just one short line, very amusing!

You so lucky my friend, Brian, to be a victim only couple of times. I wish I could say the same! Thank you so much for visiting and commenting for the first time! I appreciate it!
