Vanishing Point

A quick flash and your gone,
Although I haven't .known you that long,
It's just a holiday romance by the sparkling blue sea,
But it seemed it could be forever being together you and me.

Your last day is here and you get on the bus,
I hope that you never forget about us,
The road is covered in a shimmering heat haze,
I shield my eyes as I stare and you never go from my gaze,
Stretch my neck until it feels like it is going to disjoint,
But then you pass the horizon and you've gone,
Gone right passed that final vanishing point.

That passing romance may be gone, but the memories will linger on. Enjoyed reading your poem Mark.
