Vanilla Twilight

Vanilla twilight
runs down my fingers
As I lick them
I think of you
And don't feel so alone

Come walk with me
Thru the cold November rain
Come stay with me
Because I needed time
Remember when it was like paradise

Let's walk the garden path of love
I think I saw you try to love me
Even when you see it's not me

She was damaged
and he did not care
he loved her anyway
It made no difference to him
She made his heart beat
way deep down inside

I loved the imagery in this one. I have not seen the movie in a very long time so what you said did not ring a bell for me. Anyway, GREAT poem ,Debbie.

I haven't seen the film, but I will look for it now. You have an elegant way of summing this all up. Amazing how you zero in on the important details.

I understand where you're going with this Debbie because I have seen the movie. It was very moving. You have created that feeling very well in your poem. 7 ; )

How could anyone pass up a title like that and wow, the poem that comes with it is gorgeous. This was stunning Debbie, very soft and alluring, I could feel the desire and the questioning thoughts at the end. "I think I saw you try to love me" That line was fantastic I wish I had written that. This has something for everyone, well, except maybe chocolate lovers. :)

I love the added stanza, it adds a new dimension to the poem for me. Really nice my friend.
