Valentine

I've been chasing my career,
What else unveiled could be merrier?
I've been cloaked in myself,
Only writing pieces to self.

I've searched for happy tunes,
Found some for fleeting moments,
Didn't walk for long on their pavements,
The novelty soon faded.

I have found a song,
I'm inebriated with its melody,
I'm blessed to be worthy
of its colour and rhythm this season long.

My door I have opened for an unceasing flow,
And to be haloed by its perpetual glow,
Please come to me fairest of roses,
Let me be lost in the warmth of your embrace.

Let’s journey on life's highway together,
Navigate through all kinds of weather,
I look into your eyes and see a distant light,
Take my hand to that height.

I want to share every moment with you,
Dance with you until the final blue,
Please be my valentine,
And let’s jointly sail life’s boat.
