Vacation Destination

Endless days of summer haze
Splashing in the creek
Lightning bugs on evening lawn
And tree frogs as they peep

A hammock tied between two trees
Suspended in the air
A place to feel a gentle breeze
And never have a care

Smell the smell of fresh cut grass
Sweet upon the wind
Hear the chirp of crickets
As the summer night begins

Stars abound in evening sky
Surrounding crescent moon
The solemn song of lullaby
Is sung by single loon

These images are brought to me
Each time I close my eyes
And think about what Heaven's like
Beyond the earthly skies
