Us On the Ice

Hand in hand together,
blades attach, to boots, under are feet.
Enjoying the music, and each others company,
laughing, while standing for me, becomes a feat.

Moving forward, as slow, as a turtle,
encouraging me, letting me know, I won't fall.
I continue onward, skating,
realizing you are there, through it all.

A break, is then taken,
sitting down are we, enthused are we, of the place.
You then go, as I persuade you,
to skate, showing your style and grace.

So upon the ice, you go skating,
doing a beautiful ballet, upon the freezing floor.
Displaying poetic motion of pure joy and passion,
that all, just couldn't, simply ignore.

Smiling with a eye shining glimmer,
what a wonderful sight, to behold.
A moment I would truly frame,
that is worth more than, pure gold.

On the last song, together we're skating,
on air, flowing, and feeling free.
Happier are we, than we've ever been, and
becoming, closer than we'll ever be.
