Urban Vision

Late night here in
the vast metropolis
      Cars moving
rapidly outside my
window
   Inside I listen
    to sweet and savage
sounds
       The mind is a
             playground
             for those who
             are willing
              to challenge
                      conventional
                      thinking
The metropolitan
      evening
      covers all of us
in a blanket of
  clouds, darkness and
nighttime breezes
And - when the bleary
lights of urban morning
appear
     We are ready
to relax
     Take in the
             whole scene
As trucks begin to deliver
City hearts quiver
"the whole is greater than the sum of its parts"

Much to think about here. I like the artistic format. Nice message in the last line to leave the reader with. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Karen

I can see the city with the movements even though I live rural and always have. Keep writing. Sara
