Unweighted

They let the words seep through to your gentle heart,
Everyday like seconds and minutes apart.

Wandering through darkness with low self esteem,
until you found a river flowing with a poisoned dream.

A faceless man stood extending his hand,
the answer to a question no one can understand.

Together you walked down to the waters edge,
A few steps later consumed by the pledge.
