Unto Thee

Unto thee this day I give

thanks to thee that I might live

upon this earth created by thee.

Unto thee upon bended knee

I thank thee dearly for the tree

that sits upon my meager plot.

Unto me the marrow may not

bring me grain for my cooking pot

but thou shall not see me hang my head.

Unto thee I give thanks for the bread

that keeps my loving family fed.
