Untitled; Christmas Song
Christmas in the house of our name, things would never be quite the same.
Even decorations changed, to get away from all estranged. Put the cookies back
in the jar, take your tears to your room that’s far. Can’t you see, maybe we’re not
meant to feel happy?
Do angels cry, when they see us? We’re not happy, even now. The sky clouds
over, as we get older, and nothing changes on this day.
Go to church tonight, drown those thoughts in candle light. Feel a bit of peace,
meet some friends to tame the beast. Snow drips on the carpet, but moving your
boots won’t even stop it. It’s getting damp and soaks right through, but still no
one looks at you.
Do angels cry, when they see us? We’re not happy, even now. The sky clouds
over, as we get older, and nothing changes on this day.
Plastic presents keep the smile on your face for now. But when it’s over your
eyes and smile will turn sour. Needles falling from the tree, stick their poison sap
in me. I need to get away from the trouble, but there’s no where left to stumble.
Do angels cry, when they see us? We’re not happy, even now. The sky clouds
over, as we get older, and nothing changes on this day.
