When were you planning on telling me the truth?
Were you just going to keep on living a lie?
After all of that time of me loving you
your love for me was based upon lies.
You had me so intoxicated and foolishly blinded
a smooth operator was what you were,
My parents tried warning me about your kind
I had refused to listen to them because I was so in love.
You had painted this beautiful and wonderful picture
of us always and forever being together,
And to imagine I was looking forward to our future
I had actually believed we could love each other forever.
Now, you have uped and married some one else
in hopes she could suddenly fill my shoes,
In my opinion, you were only thinking of your self
as well as being a total fool.
You was not planning on telling me of your news
you was planning on keeping it all hush-hush,
Eventually, I had gotten wind of your news
and things were not so hushed-hushed.
My life has been so complete without you in it
the change has been so great,
I thank God we are now finished
and we have gone on our separate ways.
