Untitled
I may be short
But my personality is tall.
I never win just by a default;
I always give my all
At one point in time I was so lost.
I could not configure who I was.
I felt as if I was trapped in a dark cellar,
But as time continued to tick and tock
I learned how to move on like the hand of a clock
Nothing and not anyone person cans top me now,
One day I will be in front of thousands of crowds.
As they cheer my name, I will feel my heart go on fire.
So much love they will all give, and I must fathom that it is all for me
I try not to perspire I try to remain calm and stress free
In return all the love given
Makes up for not having a well-connected “family”
With my hearts new location in my stomach
I get on that bright promising stage.
I than recite and delight people with my poems for days
The crowd finally goes silent, and tears swell all of their eyes
They can all relate to how I felt they can understand all the lies
This is beyond what I always dreamt
All that I could of ever asked for is that my time is well spent
And all I needed the whole time
Was the courage to walk out the door;
And see what the world truly has in store
For a short girl like me
