Untitled

No choice do I have
To save anything
I have loved....

In twilights last gleaming
Rockets were bursting
No flag was flying

Just last words
Of the dying
And helicopters flying

To save the few
In mornings glow
We held the line...

At the cost of our souls
We held the line
Never knowing....

That years from now
In silence we died
That day as well.

Alone I sit in as house
I've built for no one
To enjoy....
