My socks don't match
I can't find my shoes
I forgot my jacket
I dropped my coffee
My pen stopped working
I ran out of shampoo, but not conditioner

A wonderfully spare “sad list” poem: each small mishap accumulates with quiet, deadpan force, making ordinary disarray feel unexpectedly poignant. The final shampoo-but-not-conditioner detail is especially effective—specific, absurd, and perfectly resigned.

Hello Kayla, Having one of those days..? Pity about the coffee. But this poems speaks volumes that span the wide void. And the void has narrowed just a little bit because of it. Write on if you please. -Richard
