They say we've come a long way
but everyone is stuck in the past
All the hate towards those who are different
All the pain in their eyes afraid to be out of the norm.
They say we've come a long way
But the beliefs of the past are still alive
All the ones who are persecuted
All the ones put on trial
are the only ones trying to be themselves
